Calm me down!!!

I retrieved 2 batches - one from AP and one from TB.

Printed the batch listings.

Posted the batches.

Printed the posting journal.

Today I notice title of the posting journal is: Adagio Ledger - 2007- Prior Year Posting Journal!!!!!

Why "prior year"???? I haven't set up 2008. I haven't posted anything with a 2008 date.

Meanwhile, other people have been posting to the subledgers..............

What does this mean?

Hi Bal,

Have you opened your new year? (Do you have a "Next Year" batch button on your toolbar?)

The text 'prior year' is incorrectly printing in some cases on the Current Year posting journal - specifically if you had any posting sequences from batches that had been posted using the 'Post to Prior Year' function with an earlier version of Ledger, before installing and using version 9.0A Adagio Ledger.

Also, it only happens when the report is sorted by Account - it works find when sorted by Posting Sequence.

In previous versions of Adagio Ledger, Prior Year and Current Year posting sequences were inter-mingled. Now in Version 9.0 they are kept separate. During the data conversion, your posting journal was converted and the different postings separated into separate files. I wonder if something is getting confused because your sequence 1 was a prior year posting.

This is only something with the report header that should be fixed, but the report contents itself is fine. The important thing is that you select the desired fiscal year as the radio button.

For me, when I printed and purged the first sequence and then tried again, the title correctly did not print the text 'prior year'. So I believe that when it comes time to close your year (and purge posting journals), you should find that everything is OK. You can be calm now!

I've noticed sometimes it calls the report "prior" and sometimes not.

I have not opened a new year.

The problem occurs when sorting the report by account (as mentioned in the green font from the last posting). This will be fixed in the next service pack, and is only a problem in the report header (ie the data is all OK).
