When I click receipt for US vendor in the PO module, an error message says "DOS/USD exchange rate has not been setup or updated in the currency table. Cancel this operation and update the currency data". I have gone through the multi-currency module and nothing is wrong. Please help beccause my staff is very frustrated.

This problem could result from a number of different setup conflicts. Too many to provide adequate support via this forum. I would suggest contacting your POA dealer who should be able to help you resolve this issue.

You may want to check the currency table for USD and what ever rate type you are using. It could be that the date of the transaction is out side the date range of the USD - Rate type table.

Wayne,

Nothing have changed since you set them up for us. It is happened after we installed your custom modification for Franchises. We could not get in Inventory control, so we changed it back to original without using your custom modification. So everything should be the same. Please let me know what else can we do.

Is the date matching for this rate table set to "Higher"? When set to higher, the rate date must be later than the transaction date. This could produce the scenario you are describing.

For example, the exchange rate was set on October 31. All transactions occurring before October 31st would use that exchange rate. However, any transactions after that date would produce the error message you're getting.

If this is the case for you, a solution would be to enter a new exchange rate using a date that has not yet passed. You should then be able to post the transaction fine in POA.

May be you should call me about this. There has been a lot changed seen it was set up. You have gone to 8.1 IC & AP. You have installed the custom modification and I am not sure what you mean you changed it back.

Based on the message, I still believe that you need to create an exchange rate for Nov 30, 2007.

Hi Mach,

In Adagio Multi Currency, check to see what your "Date Matching" is set to (open MC, go to "Rates", select the one defined in POA's company profile, click view). If the "Date Matching" option is set to higher, add another rate with a future date, and the problem should be solved.
