Hi Anthony,

Does your IC 65A data pass an integrity test? The ICPOD'I.dat data file is a required data file, containing the index for the Receipts/PO's for IC. If you are missing a data file, that would explain the message Quik Reports is giving you.

Do a file search for ICPOD* in your data directory. It's possible that either the data file doesn't exist, or perhaps it has a different file extension. In either case, you will have to determine what happened; if it was accidentally deleted, or you had to restore data from a backup and this file was not restored. Once you find out what happened to this file, that should solve your Quik Reports problem.

Hi Anthony,

ICPOD'I was the index file used for IC purchase orders for version 6.1B. This was changed to ICPOD'1 and ICPOD'2 for IC version 6.5A.

What I think this means is that your report is still based on the IC6.1B table, and is looking for a file that really doesn't have to be there. In testing this, I created a new report using the IC65A table, and deleted my ICPOD'I file beforehand. I was able to print successfully a report with Purchase Order header and detail fields.

What you should do is print out the report definition of this report (from the Print/Export menu). At the top of the first page will indicate the program and version. Does it say Inventory Control 6.5A or Inventory Control 6.1B? If it is the latter, you have to do a cross-table conversion for this report (and all others based on IC61B) to bring it up to the current level.

From Options, go to Configure and set Convert Reports to Yes. Also go to Install Data and make sure the Inventory Control 6.5A table is selected. Then open your report again. You should get a message to convert your report, which you should do, then save. Afterwards, set the Convert Reports option back to No.

My previous response was to indicate that if you are running IC65A, you actually do not require ICPOD'I in your data directory. This was only a required file for IC version 6.1B.

The problem that is occuring (I believe)
is that the report is based on the IC6.1B table, which would look for the ICPOD'I data file. If it was created using the correct IC6.5A table, or converted to do so, then the report would be looking for both the ICPOD'1 and ICPOD'2 data files which you have.

Please follow the steps to convert your report as I indicated on the last posting earlier today. Or, you can try recreating your report, but make sure that the IC6.5A table is selected from Options | Install Data.
