Received error message: Program cannot start or run. The program or feature "\??\E:\qrasp\qrwbuild.exe" cannot start or fun due to incompatibility with 64-bit version of Windows.

Do you have a version of Adagio which runs on Windows 2003 64-bit operating system? If so, how would I go about obtaining it and are there any special installation instructions?

The current versions of Adagio all install and run fine on 64-bit Windows machines. What version were you trying to install?

Contact your Adagio Consultant Reseller or Softrak Customer Service to get the new version.

What version of Adagio were you trying to install?

I received the error when installing Adagio Ledger 8.0B (040618). I have other modules to install, namely:
* Adagio Datacare 8.0A
* Adagio Payables 6.8B
* Receivables 6.8B
* Order Entry 6.8B
* Inventory 6.8B
* Sales Analysis 6.8B
* Bank Rec 6.8B.

I was able to install all the modules mentioned above on the Windows 2003 Server R2, which is the 32-bit version of Windows 2003 Server. However, I received th error when trying to install on the Windows 2003 Server 64-bit version.

These versions are around 3 years old or more - note the release date of Ledger that you posted. Certainly none of these versions are compatible with Windows Vista. It may be that similar compatibility requirements for Vista are also necessary for the 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003, which aren't working for you but are for Andrew - from his previous post.

You are on a current support plan for your modules, so you should have the current versions available to you. Perhaps instead of installing from an old CD, use the links from the 8.1A upgrade emails to install directly to your 64-bit server. In doing this, you will need 2 sets of installation codes, those provided with the upgrade, followed by those that were provided in an earlier release.

If the problem you are having is during the install, then doing the above should help. Let us know the results of what happens.

QRWBUILD.EXE is run from the command line and earlier versions would not run on a 64 bit machine. The program was re-written for Windows Vista and will run correctly in a 64-bit environment.

Thanks for the information, but I am not sure that I understand what must be done. Should I get a new copy of QRWBUILD.EXE? Where would I get this file from and what would I do with it?

Just a note of clarification:

Are the upgrade modules replacement modules and hence contain all the functionality required; or are they true upgrades and require the original code (CDs) in order for them to run correctly?

If they are upgrade modules, and require the original code, how will the original code run using my OS configuration (64-bit version of the OS)?

The older version of QRWBUILD (part of Adagio) you have installed is incompatible with Vista and 64 bit machines. To get the most current version install the current versions of Adgaio.
