You may be happy to hear that in the soon to be released upgrade for Adagio OrderEntry 8.1A, this 'printed' requirement will be removed, and all invoices and credit notes will be moved to history after posting and Day End, regardless if they have been printed or not. So after the upgrade, you shouldn't run into this situation again.
