First of all, you cannot test aligning check specs with printing a check spec from the forms designer. You have to align within a test manual check in live data, and void out the check until you get it right (assuming you are using a laser printer).
And secondly, you really don't want to be using dot matrix print drivers (new drivers) to print checks from Adagio Payables without gambling on a potential lot of time to get the spec to print properly. You would better to just go and buy a laser desktop printer (and give to client) to do the printing instead of trying to find a way to make the dot matrix forms work. And you can perf the continuous forms to single pages and feed into the manual paper laser feed tray to make work or conveniently spill a coffee into the box of check forms, and reorder new laser check forms. Both options work well.
Seriously, this is a migraine waiting to happen. And I wouldn't go there for love or money.
