Hi orlanda,

You do not have to worry about the interface of other programs to Adagio Inventory 80B and the newly converted historical file, in regards to programs that 'write' to the file. This would include purchase orders. Whenever a process updates the 'old' ICHIST file, and when Adagio Inventory 8.0B is started, it looks for the existance of the ICHIST and merges it in with the rest of the history that was already converted. Thus you can be sure that applications that update IC history can continue to do so.

However, for applications that are required to 'read' the history file, such as inquiry tools, the 'old' history file will no longer exist. So therefore, applications that perform processing or inquiries to the historical file will not find anything and simply indicate that there is no history.

There should be no critical errors in this process - the only thing that should happen is that applications that do not integrate with Adagio Inventory 8.0B will simply indicate there is no history to find.

For more complete information on all of this, you can access the Readme file for Adagio Inventory 8.0B (from the Help menu), choose the 'Important notes' link, then the link to 'Upgrading to 8.0B'.
