We are now using the CSV format and with some tweaking, we are getting the data we need. It was just so much more convenient before to export directly to Excel (all formatted). :-)

We are using the exported information to build our monthly Progress Draw reports.

As to your question about reviewing Export templates, yes, we have tried them and CSV seems to be the better format for what we need.
