If you are going to restore back to prior to your year end, you can save yourself a lot of work by unposting and archiving all the batches you have posted in the new year. Restore your gl prior to year end. Correct the account type and re-run the year end. Then retrieve and re-post all of this year's batches.

Sorry you didn't feel that this should be a chargeable service. It's a fiddley repair to do and get right.
