After having an opportunity to try Adagio cloud, here are some additional questions and observations.
1. When the manager window went from less than a window full of data to more than a window full the slider bar in Manager would not reappear and the mouse thumb wheel would not work. Sometimes changing the window size or opening and closing and opening the data choices would bring it back.
2. Moving windows while in the data or just in manager at times did not re-display the window properly. Resulted in a chopped up window (attached file) and only seem to happen in certain places. It did happen as well when just the Adagio manager was open and that window moved.
3. Agree with Doug that the upload seemed to take quite long. Also if the data being uploaded was not correctly set up, it locked the program with no error message.
4. Data was easily accessed after being uploaded with an additional user added and being able to access the data.
5. Adagio spec files for printing cheques, invoices and statements were all offset. Suspect this may be due to originating on a PC with Regional setting Canada and the host may be US. Am I correct? Will client have choice of regional setting and language?
6. I was able to save an excel direct file to my local drive (M:)
7. Without a file manager how would we copy a single file to the database (such as a spec file)? How would we delete a single file from the database?
8. How would we do an unattended backup with datacare to location off-site?
9. Printing an invoice with the uploaded data produced the following error “Unable to load selected specification S:\Clientspace\001\Data\QI$WEL~4.ADB for document 13345” Note it did print the invoice and despite whatever spec file I picked it always gave the same error message although the spec file name selected did not match the error name. It did not produce the error when previewing or printing from a preview. It also did not produce the error with the on premises product.
