My preference is the other way because I anticipate accidentally engaging this feature in the same manner that revealed its existence more often than I will be taking advantage of it.

Regardless, so long as there is some documentation of how it works and it is possible to lock down shared views without removing the min/max window functions then the situation will be resolved.
