The vendor transactions (Current and History) are stored in a different data file than the Check Reconciliation records. Setting the check status in check rec will not affect the vendor transaction listing, and purging transactions will not affect check rec.

All this is possible technically, based on choices the AP people made. Certainly not a dumb question at all!
