I had come to that conclusion too, and it does work, although putting a customer on hold simply to produce a warning is pretty drastic because there is no flexibility. Also, someone must remember to run the function, which is not as nice as if the warning appeared on its own.
Softrak - consider as a suggestion the possibility of enhancing the Alert functionality so that alerts can pop (i.e. be made active/inactive) based on certain criteria (such as whether a customer is past due)
