Hi Susan,

The repeating of the Query prompts when starting is a bug that was recently introduced when the 'Refresh on open' option is set on the view. This will be fixed. If you disable this option and just press F9 after opening the view, you will only be prompted once for the Query values.

As for the slowness depending on one table versus another, it like has to do with indexing and typically the category code does not have an index, thus every record has to be read in order to determine if the filter criteria is met.
