Are you saying that everything about the bank balance and g/l balance is corret at the moment, but that a back dated bank reconciliation report does not agree?

BankRec is date based. Ledger is period based. Look for a transaaction posted outside its period, but I wouldn't worry about it too much if all the figures agree now.
