There have been suggestions made to R&D previously for improved formatting when exporting to Excel - thanks for your observations! I am not sure if it is something they have control over or not, but if so - they will try! PDF is a good suggestion as well, I'll enter that for you.

How about trying the export using the 'Export to HTML...' option. The receivers would open it as an HTML document (I had reasonably good success when trying this using MS Internet Explorer V6) - all formatting seemed to be retained using this method.
