Dear Judy
That is a very strange message - are you pressing <Ctrl-F1> on this screen? If I press <Ctrl-F1> while on the 'Drive' selection dialogue I get the very same message. Perhaps the Ctrl key is stuck or has been inadvertenly pressed, or perhaps someone has created a Macro that is run as soon as you press the Enter key on the 9. Import invoices selection screen. This would have been to prevent the User from changing any selections on the next screen. Normally though, you would expect to be taken back to the main QIP menu, not kicked out of ACCPAC entirely.
Normally, if a Macro is being run, you should see an indication of this on the bottom right of your screen. Macros will not run properly if anything significant has changed where the data location or program location is concerned - I would check with other staff to see if this is the case. Unfortunately, we cannot assist you with Macros - as they are not a function of QIP, but of WSM.
FYI:
QIP relies on the file you are trying to import having been formatted to adhere to QIP's format requirements, as outlined in Chapter 3, starting on pg 3-113. If the import file has not been properly formatted, you will have problems importing invoices into QIP.
Having said this, you do not have a choice to select any fields in the Import Invoices function. Your only choices are to select:
- Drive
- Directory
- File Name
- Import Format (Comma Separated Valued is recommended)
After that, you can either choose to import the invoices into the open Invoice system, Archive batch area or Both.
Hope this helps!
Take care,
