Hello Tom:

The Financial Reporter has a button that allows you to include/exclude the Y/E Closing Entries.

It is on the button bar when you are viewing a statement. The image is the letters "YE" with a superimposed check-mark. But you have to look really closely to recognize that! It is usually located beside a button labelled "P" (for Provisional). Hover the mouse over each button for an explanation of what each does.

If you don't see it, click on the "View" menu, choose "Customize", highlight "View" in the list of options and then click on the "Reset" button. That should put all of the buttons in place.
