What version of AR are you using? 90A or an earlier version?
This same scenario was reported to us when Receivables 81A was in use - for some reason the tax status desciptions from AR were being displayed when editing customers in OE, instead of the tax status descriptions defined in OE.
This works correctly if AR90A is installed.
If you are not yet ready to install the AR90A upgrade, the solution is to edit the AR company profile and enter the same Tax Status descriptions as are already defined in OE. Thus you will see the same information in OE editing customers as you have been used to.
