Hello Technical!

Although errors such as these tend to be associated when another application is installed that uses the Crystal print engine and associated .dlls, (a conflict that is commonly found when using QRWIN and ACCPAC for Windows on the same PC, yes), it can also occur for other reasons.

Is QRWIN installed on the 'server' station or one of the peers? If running from one of the Peers, was a workstation setup done on this PC? If the 'server' station is the one exhibiting the problem, perhaps the original install did not complete properly? Did you notice anything during the install that could have alerted you to a problem?

If the following information does not help, the best thing you could do is to rename this file on the system that is experiencing the problem, and either reinstall QRWIN, or if it is one of the peers, redo the workstation setup on this station.

The file in question is installed by QRWIN as well as Adagio, (so actually, you are using another application that uses Crystal), however, the PQRTSSI.DLL in question is not a Crystal file, and there are no known issues with running QRWIN and Adagio together. The problem must be stemming from something else.

The file "PQRTSSI.DLL" is installed into your local Windows\System folder during the program installation process, and I believe also during the workstation setup install on other stations that need to run QRWIN. This file is used by QRWIN and Adagio. Where QRWIN is concerned, you should find this same file in the QRW\WKCSETUP directory on the drive where the main QRWIN program has been installed.

You can check the file's properties in the QRW\WKCSETUP folder against the one that exists in your Windows\System directory to see if they match -

QRW\WKCSETUP should be version 3.2.0.1 with a modified date of April 25, 1997, so it stands to reason that the PQRTSSI.DLL in your Windows\System should also have the same properties. In addition, this file should not be 'Read only', but have only the 'Archive' attribute checked. If these two files are not the same, or if it does not exist in the Windows\System folder of the PC trying to modify the report, then something went wrong with the install, or possibly a workstation setup was not performed on the PC having this problem.

Hope this helps, if not, please post another topic, including all details on how QRWIN was installed and whether or not the same problem exists on other stations.
