1) In Receivables, you can see and edit the Terms information - including the Discount Date - in Invoice batch entry but not in Cash batch entry.
How do you apply payments to invoices? If this is done in Cash Entry, then the answer is that the Discount Date was never visible or editable, even in older versions. If this is done in Invoice entry, then perhaps take a look at the new Entry Templates that are available in version 90A. You can choose to skip, disable or hide almost any field or button on each of the 3 batch types. This is also definable on the security groups. Ensure that your accounting person does not have any fields hidden that they want to see.
2) There is a new option in the Company Profile that determines whether the question is asked to purge the posting journal after printing. Likely you have this option set to not allow purging. If so, then the question will not be asked and the posting journals will instead be purged as part of the year end process.
This is set in each program company profile. Installing the GL90B upgrade would not affect how AR works. Check what you have set for GL and AR. OrderEntry does not have this option as there are no 'posting journals'.
It is usually advisable to keep your posting journals until year end anyway, in case there are problems and you have to re-create missing transactions.
