Hello Hector,

In Quik Reports (either the DOS or Windows version), the file selected to be the Main or Driving file will determine how many records will print.

In 95% of the cases, the Main file will be the transaction file. The transaction information will print along with any other information (customer name, address, etc) selected from other files. If a customer does not have any transactions, then nothing will print for that customer on the report.

In the report you want to create, you want all customers, even if that customer has no transactions. What that means is that you have to change the main file from the transaction file to the customer master file. That way all customers will appear on the report, whether or not they have any transactions.

If you are using Quik Reports for DOS, go to the Edit menu and choose Links. Change the Driving file to be ARCUST, instead of ARTRANS, ARHIST, or whatever else is selected. Also change the Link Mode to 'one-to-many' because each customer will likely have more than one transaction.

If you are using Quik Reports for Windows, go to the Visual Linking Expert under the Database menu. You will see 2 or more boxes connect by arrows, representing the links. Likely you will see an arrow coming from a Transaction file, pointing to the Customer master file, bsed on the customer number field. Click on that arrow and press the Delete key to remove this link. Left-click on the field Customer Number in the Customer Master box, and drag it over to the Customer Number in the Transaction file box. You have now changed the driving file of the report.

This should allow to to see all customers on your report. Please note that due to this method of connecting files, you will find that it takes longer to print the report. There is nothing that can be done about this because of the additional steps the report must take when arranging files in this manner.
