Hi Antonio,

To save space, the 'Category description' is not actually stored in the Sales Analysis database, only the 6-character code as you have found. If you want to be able to create a report that uses the category description, you will not be able to use the reporting function within Sales Analysis to do this. You will instead need a custom report program such as Quik Reports, Quik Reports for Windows or Report Master to get this.

The Sales Analysis reporting function is meant for 'simpler' reports. If you want to create more powerful reports that can link multiple files together, I strongly suggest getting a report-writer program. The type of report you want to have, connecting the Sales Analysis Transaction file to the IC Category file, is very easy to do.

Sales Analysis also does not actually store the Item Description or Customer Name either, but instead links back to the IC Item Master and AR Customer Master files (respectively). Exceptions were able to be made for these fields, but no others can be done.
