Hi there
1. This varies with the type of printer. It has nothing to do with Adagio.
You may be prompted for the type of driver when you first install the printer software (or if you just used the Windows Add/Remove printer option), or you may be able to alter the properties of the existing Windows' printer, however, this is all done through either Windows Add/Remove printers, or the actual printer driver software itself.
2. I should clarify my earlier response - sorry for the confusion. When you select File | Printer Setup from the Designer, you are actually taken to the Windows' printer setup for that printer - it is there for convenience more than being tied to the specification. It allows you to set the printer you want to use the specification with, when you are designing and/or testing the specification from Designer. You must have at least one printer set up in Windows before you will be able to test the spec in Designer, let alone print real documents from the main application. This is the purpose of having a printer selected on the specification itself.
Regards
