Dear mrushton

Since this is a standalone PC, running Win98 then rights should not be an issue.

Get them to reinstall Adagio again, but FIRST:
Check the version of the crpe32.dll file in their Windows\System32 directory. It should be 7.0.100.15 with a modified date of June 21, 1999. Also, it should be 5.52MB in size and the file attributes should only be 'archive'.

If this is not what is there, then this is the likely problem. If it IS there, perhaps it has become damaged or otherwise altered in some way.

To allow for this, you can rename the crpe32.dll file and then re-install Adagio.

The reason the re-install did not work the first time is difficult to say for sure, but one of the known causes is the User installed an application that uses a newer version of the crpe32.dll and this overwrote the one Adagio uses. Since the file is newer, Adagio did not replace it when the reinstall was done.

There are other instances, but only if a network is involved.

Hope this helps
