Is there a way to close or lock the previous month (of the current fiscal year) so that no more entries can be posted in that month?

Hi,

In GL, you can edit the fiscal calendar and close the period so that postings won't be allowed to that period. In your submodules, most new modules have a Company Profile option called 'Validate Ledger account'. You can set that so, if a user enters a transaction date within a closed GL period, the system either warns them that they have done so or disallows the transaction altogether until they change the date to one that is valid.
