Hi All,
We are in the process of standardizing the UOM for certain products. All the pricing UOM is currently in MF (1000 FT), and the costing is in FT.
We would like to switch the stocking unit and the costing unit to 20FT PC (it is a length of plastic, and this is the length it is cut and sold in).
I would like to keep the pricing unit in MF though. The reason is because of rounding. A MF may sell for $539.65 for example. If I was to change the pricing unit to 20FT PC, the price would be $10.79. The problem occurs when we invoice large qty orders (which is almost every one). The customer should be charged $5396.50 for 10,000FT (500 20FT PCS), but when the pricing UOM is 20FT PC, the invoice is for $5395.00 - a $1.50 difference. This is a problem because the orders get much larger, and even if they didn't, it is a pain to do a credit note for $1.50.
I also don't want to change Adagio to having 4 decimal places for everything.
The one solution we have found is to set up a price list for this customer and add each part, because we can set decimal places in price lists to 4-5 (which solves the problem). The only problem with that is we are talking adding 300+ items, which is a little bit of work.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
