Do you have 'statements' enabled on the customer profile, on the statements tab? Without it you are unable to print statements for customers when using Reports|Statements and Letters option. But it would likely allow you to print a physical copy of their statement from their profile. The other option to check would be what send methods are enabled for statements on the statement tab. You will need print and possibly email depending on how you processing statements. You also might need to update the preferred send method, if you are preparing statements that way.
