I am only speculating but has anyone run into issues printing in Receivables after the latest hot fix has been applied.

Total hit and miss and no pattern. But have had a couple of access violation errors when trying to print a statement and then an aged trial balance. No one else in Receivables during either instance.

Again only speculation and may be total coincidence but thought I would check to see if anyone else has had this issue.

As a follow up to the above post. If we attempt to print the Aged Trial Balance the report immediately bombs out. The error is covered up but basically saying it is trying to create a temporary work file. We have to Ctrl Alt Del out of the Receivables Module. When we do we receive the following two errors:

"Internal Error: [2103] application handle invalid." and then

"Access violation @ address 004094Be in module Receivables.exe Read of Address 000000AA."

Now other reports print fine. Statements are fine (contrary to first post). Tax Tracking and all other General Reports are fine. But Customer Transactions and Customer List we get these errors on these two reports:

"Invalid formula name (Company Name)."

"Internal Error: [2103] application handle invalid".

I am going to try to re install the Receivables Hot Fix since this is when these errors started to happen and see what happens after this.

All other modules have the latest installed and there are no issues. Only Receivables.

I am not suggesting it is the hot fix btw. We called a couple of other clients with the latest Receivables Hot Fix applied and they are not having issues. So I can only guess at the moment the original install here did not load correctly? Not sure.

Another follow up. it is not data related we don't think as we tried printing the above reports in the SAMDATA installed with Adagio and still no go.

John:

Make sure the users have full rights to their temp folder and delete the contents. Adagio can't create the temp file for one of two reasons:

1. no rights
2. temp file already exists and can't be overwritten

Hi Douglas,

Thanks for the information. I have their IT person on site. He has indicated that all workstations have full access rights to their C:\Windows\Temp folder. This happens regardless of Adagio user or workstation.

For what it is worth this started happening after the 150701 hot fix was applied. I don't believe it is the hot fix though since we applied the hot fix at other sites and no issues.

So not sure if you have any other suggestions.

John:

We have this Hot Fixed installed on our own internal network and I can print this report without errors. Did you make sure the latest Service Pack had been installed first (before installing the Hot Fix)? Try running a copy of their data on your office computer or laptop to see if it works there.

Hi Douglas,

LONG story short yes to all of your questions. Regardless of user or database or workstation this report does not get generated. I am at the point to do a reinstall of Receivables, Service Pack and Hot Fix since I have not done that but not sure what else to do at this point.

John:

So you are saying that this report fails on your computer as well? With both client data and sample data? Then try a re-install.

You need to do a process of elimination to make sure it's not the database that's causing the problem.
