Hello Support:
I know that this request won't rank very high among all of the planned development tasks, but I'll suggest it anyway because it's often on my mind. The Column Editor is an essential tool to customize grids and to show the columns that make sense to each user. But as the Adagio tables have been expanded to add new entry fields, the list of fields in the left-hand pane has grown. As a result, it can be slow to find the desired fields. I often go up and down the list a few times to find what I want. The field-names are difficult to predict and can vary. Even if the fields are sorted alphabetically, that doesn't always help because there are occasionally unexpected prefixes.
It would be useful to have the ability to filter the list. For instance, filter to all field-names that contain the string "status". Or filter to only date fields (or string or numeric). This would especially be a benefit to new users who haven't become familiar yet with Adagio's table structures.
The same feature would be a benefit in GridView when selecting fields. GridView at least has the option to toggle on-the-spot between fields in their "natural order" and their alphabetical order. That capability would be useful in other modules (to switch the sort sequences in those modules, you need to use "User Preferences" on the "File" menu - much less convenient).
