When I run an AR Aged Trial Balance Report calculating back to a date before I ran period end (in this case 8/8/2016), at least 2 customers show as having invoices as far back as 2002 that are "not paid". They were paid in full. Looking in their account at the actual problematic transactions - there are no details. Usually I see the cash that was applied to the invoice in the details.
Our bank lends on our receivables and this raised a large red flag for them.
I understand we can clear history to 2015 and the reports will print correctly. This unfortunately won't be a great answer for them. Ideally I'd like to identify the problem and fix it.
I've brought in our IT team and they don't think it's a problem on their end but they are doing due diligence to look into any possible problems relating to their field of expertise.
I would appreciate any help in resolving this to the satisfaction of our bank.
