How does one reset a running total after a subtotal?

I'm trying to write a statement-like report with a running balance for each account but haven't been able to reset the running total to zero after each customer.

Hope someone can help.

Hello MPC,

If you are using Quik Reports for DOS, there is no way to reset the running total on change of Customer number (or any other field). The reporting structure cannot create results for a detail based on information in a previous or next record.

If you are using Quik Reports for Windows, this is fairly easy to do, using Variables. You can do this by creating 2 formulas, one to initialize/reset the variable in the Group Header (ie for each customer), and the other in the detail section to accumulate an output the value of the variable.
