error with quick invoice posted to accpac a/r
error says: operating systems limit reached
- too many files open --- help!!!!

Hi there!

This error message is not from QIP. It is a WSM error and is listed in the WSM manual, Appendix A:

"Problem: There are not enough free file handles to start another application or open another file."

Basically, there are either too many instances of open ACCPAC Plus applications open for it to continue with the procedure it was trying to carry out or it could be because you (or someone else if you are on a network) are in a function of AR that is required in order for the posting to complete properly.

I would suggest exiting all instances of AR and retry the posting procedure.
