Re: Foreign Currency Exchange Software

I am looking for an add-on to Accpac or a standalone product for a small
Foreign Currency Exchange business. The client already has an older DOS currency
exchange add-on which he is quite happy with.

They only need a front end that I could link to another accounting
program possibly written in Access.

They have 10 cashiers who take turns in the one booth throughout
the week. Annual sales $1-2 Million

The main requirements are:
a) Ability to enter foreign exchange rates manually each morning.
b) The rates cannot be accidentally changed by cashiers throughout
the day.
c) Cashier login
d) Ability to cancel a transaction if the customer changes their mind
on how much currency they want converted
e) Point of sale system that gives the customer a printed thermal receipt
f) Day end reconciliation, with auditing
g) Windows based system
h) Y2K compliant
i) no modem connection, he enters rates manually in the morning
j) there is power in the booth, but no telephone lines
k) he probably does about 8 different currencies
l) up to 200 transactions per day
m) prefer Windows 98, no network or Database management system
n) do not require source code
o) Required within 30 days if possible
p) Applications needed: Foreign Currency POS, GL, Auditing, Reports

I have sent hundreds of email already with few results. The only
replies so far were from

$20,000.

Do you have any suggestions?

This might be resolved by using Custom Quik Link or Quik Reports dictionaries that link to the current DOS application.
