When I copy a quote that was created say a month ago to a new customer, it keeps the original quote date and doesn't change to today's date. I have to do that manually. Is there a way to have a copied quote default to today's date?

That is the way it works.

I'd like to point out that there are multiple dates to consider on the quote. Quote date, expected close, expect ship, expiry, rejection, discount date, due date, as well as an expected ship date for each line item. Would they all be reset to today's date if they were set to some date?

Bob:

When I copy a quote date to be <today> (or at least an option to be today). All other dates should follow based on the setup (same as if I were entering a quote manually):

Expected/Expiry/Rejection dates are Quote date + x days based on CP setup

Due/Discount dates would be as per customers terms, again in the same manner as if I were creating a new quote.

Hello Doug,

The SalesCQ 93A (2022.04.06) Upgrade just released has a lot of changes for dates depending on where they are being copied to.

There is a new Company Profile option to set a default for the new date when quotes are transferred to OrderEntry Orders. When a Quote is transferred to OrderEntry with a new Order date, if the Expected ship date is not blank, it will recalculated based on the OrderEntry Company Profile Processing Options setting for Expected Shipdate spread.

For Quotes moved around within SalesCQ:
Quotes copied to Open Quotes will default the new Quote date to the session date.
Quotes copied to Template or History Quotes will default to the original quote's dates.
Quotes created from OrderEntry Orders or History also default to the session date. If the copy is done from the Quote List, the default Date can be overridden.
