A client who gets the following error when attempting to send invoice(s) from Order Entry:

"There was an error attempting to send the email: SSL negotiation failed."

This came to light earlier this week. They have never had an issue before until some Windows updates were applied and the server was rebooted by their IT guys and they have had issues ever since.

To be clear they can still send the invoices (they get to the queue) but it is not automatic as it was before. In most instances whether sending 1 email or a whole bunch at one time they get this error. Only after continuing to click OK and trying again they will eventually go through.

We have tried all three options - MAPI, Direct and Outlook - and each option we get this error.

So not sure if anyone has run into this issue? Or what if anything can be done on the Adagio side of things.

They are currently running OE V9.3A(201201) so they are behind on an update but not sure applying the update will have any affect if any on this issue.

It happens on all workstations and they are running Office 365 FWIW.

Hi Scott,

We are working on an updated SSIMAIL system file to accommodate security changes in email servers and likely as you say Windows updates. So far the testing looks good.

I am having the same issue. however it has got much worse last few days. I'd send out a batch of invoices
and get a few back. i've that to resend some invoices 4 or 5 times on Friday before they would send. thanks for looking into this further

The Adagio System Updater (2021.10.19) has been released:

The System Updater corrects the following problem:

Corrects issues emailing in Adagio using Direct method to Office365 where an error regarding an invalid TLS version may have been received or may have randomly caused a few emails from a group to not be sent correctly.
Installs SSIMAIL.dll 2.2.0.5 to force TLS1.2
Installs and requires Libeay32.dll 1.0.2.14 and Ssleay32.dll 1.0.2.14.
