Hi, I’m wondering if I could extract only specific product SKUs out of the entire database and print a report for only specific items based on their exact product SKUs and in the order that I require them to be in, every single time?

It would be great if this function could be saved so every time I needed to reprint the report with updated quantity/cost, it could be done again with just a click.

The report would have a heading like this:
| Product SKU (in the order I want FIXED) | Stock (quantity on hand) | Cost Price |

Or refer to the PNG file I uploaded.

Note that I do understand that ‘Quick Reports’ allows you to extract items based on their stock, date and many other variables, but I currently only need to look at fixed items rather than my whole database, and also in the order that I require them to be viewed in.

Edit: I am using Adagio IC, and by “SKU” I meant “item number” in Adagio, which refers to my product unique identifier. Hope that makes it clearer

You don't own Adagio GridView, which is the program that would meet your exact request. GridView is sort of like the Adagio equivalent of Quik Reports, and it has the ability to automatically send the output to Excel.

Steve's solution is the most recommended. I would have said to put those items in a Report Group. Create a filter with that group and select the fields you want to see but for some reason the Costs are not showing on the grid. This must be a glitch.

Patricia: You're looking at the "Item Maintenance" or "Item Inquiry" grids? Are you logged in as a user with rights to see the Cost fields?

Make sure that either there is no security groups, or if security groups exist then make sure SYS is assigned to one with rights to see costs.

It is sample data. It works for the regular grid but not for filter. The cost fields are shown on the grid without filter but not on the filtered records.

If as SYS in sample data I select a Filter on the Item Inquiry screen, I can use the column editor to see Cost fields for inclusion as desired. Filtered grids have their own set of saved columns. I cannot replicate a problem just seeing cost fields.

Some Cost fields like Average Cost are calculated in memory and not stored in the data. Is this your concern, that Average Cost shows 0.00 on a Filtered grid but not on the grid with no Filter. I do not know if these calculated fields can display information on filtered grids, but I can aske R&D.

If you have other concerns or information, maybe let's start a new thread with some more specific information and not hijack this thread about custom reports.

If my solution works for you, I am glad. I am not interested in the issue for the filters at the moment.
