In OE 9.3A (18.04.10 or 17.12.04) we have been unable to save changes on completed invoice ship-to addresses although we get a message at the close of the invoice that changes have been saved. There is no problem on bill-to addresses. Ship-to address changes are approved in the company profile & OE template.

This problem seems to have been addressed in OE 2018.04.10 under Problems Fixed: "In OrderEntry 9.3A, changes made to address lines on posted invoices with Formatted Addresses were not saved." It is not working for us yet.

Also, the ship-to address finder is grayed out, so a different ship-to cannot be selected from the finder. I don't recall if this was true in OE 9.2 but it would be helpful if it was available.

Yes, I see what you mean. Seems that something else must have changed and now when you change the Address lines of a Formatted ShipTo address, the change no longer sticks.

For now, I have a workaround for you:

- make the change to the address
- disable the Format Address? option for the ShipTo
- Close the invoice.

You will want to recheck that the Format Address? option gets re-enabled.

I'll enter your suggestion to R&D about enabling the ShipTo code Finder button. This wasn't active in 9.2A either.

This formatting issue is fixed in OrderEntry 93A (18.05.05) HF and (18.12.14) SP.

Thanks for taking care of this problem and providing a work-around until this update.

I do have a couple of apparent problems with the (18.12.14) update. If the box for "Exclude custom ship-to address on update?" is checked the ship-to address is never updated even if no custom address was entered. This has an undesirable outcome when the customer's billing address is updated in AR and the changes are saved to OE. Although the bill-to address is updated the ship-to address is never updated even though they should be the same. We now leave this box unchecked although it would be a great idea without this problem.

We also have a problem with OE 9.3 changing the SP code to the OE default SP if an address is modified or even the credit card info is modified in AR . It would be helpful if the original SP remained on the order. This even happens when the order is first entered and something is changed in AR and the original SP is the only person who has handled the order.

Hello Rick,

I have added a suggestion for the address change related to the Ship to.

For the Salesperson, my guess is that you are selecting 'All'. If you are, the Salesperson will be refreshed from the Customer record or the Entry template. This is by design.

If you don't want that change, choose 'Addr only' instead of 'All'.

The issue with the Ship to Address update has been fixed in the OrderEntry 93A (2021.09.27) Service Pack.
