I am not sure if this has been discussed previously,
AP 9.3B (200321)
We are selecting: Remember batch entry fields.
In entering Manual Checks, in the past the AP would remember the Reference & Description fields (among other fields). This is not happening now.
This is working for the Invoices, but not for Checks.

Is there anything that we can do to get this to work with Checks as well?

Hi, Samuel,

Not at this time. We have entered this for R&D's consideration for you.

Hi Samuel,

Your concerns have been forwarded to R&D, and they are aware. The current behaviour for manual checks not remembering the reference and description was due to another request, back in 2009 I was told.

Are there any of your clients who would not want the reference and description fields to be remembered in manual check batch entry (ie this part is a separate option to the other remembered batch fields)? Or would you expect all clients who want batch entry field values remembered to be for any batch type and field with no exceptions?

This is a tough question to a give a definite reply.
The request to have AP "remember" the Description & Reference fields came from a client. We moved them up to AP 9.3B from 9.3A, and they claim that the earlier version retained the previous entries in the Checks batches. So, they would like the newer version to retain this option.
But you are asking if all my client s would want this? Almost for certain, some will say Yes, and others No.

Thank you for your reply, Samuel. This makes me think that we'd be having to look at something more than all or none in regards to remembering batch fields, and breaking out particular areas with multiple options, in order to attempt to please everyone.
