We've been making good use of the editable AR Miscellaneous Cash Receipt field and overwriting it when we want to track the company/person when using cash batches.

We recently noticed the Cash Posting Journal (CPJ) is only showing "Miscellaneous Cash Receipts", not the company name we typed in.

The Cash Batch Listing does show the company name entered.

Is there any way to have the contents of the field appear in the CPJ?

Hi Hugh,

The reason why the edited Company Name does not appear on the Receivables Cash posting journal for miscellaneous receipts is because the customer name is not a stored value in the posting journal data file. In order to accommodate this suggestion, the posting journal file would have to be changed to include the customer name. So unfortunately at this time, the posting journal will not be able to print this edited Name.

I will pass on the suggestion to R&D.

Because you have version 9.2A, you can re-print the Batch Listing reports from the Batch Status Inquiry area, in case you need to retrieve that information after posting.
