Hey guys,

i'm using the SQL Sync module to allow me to run reporting on the tables easily. With the latest 9.3A update the sync is no longer automatically working, even with deleting the table and having the module re-sync. All other modules from AR/AP etc are syncing no problem after updates.
To be clear a MANUAL sync does update the SA table on the Sql Server. It however will not stay up to date. Let me know if I can supply any information that will help
Thank you,
Jason

Hello Jason,

This may be because a new SalesAnalsys dictionary was installed with the update. See if this fixes your issue:
  1. Launch SQLSync and remove the SalesAnalysis table from the list.
  2. Make sure that you have opened your SalesAnalysis data with the new version.
  3. Relaunch SQLSync and re-select the SalesAnalysis table you need. Re-synchronize the table(s).
  4. Edit a record in SalesAnalysis and make sure that the change is applied in your SQL database.
Let us know whether that resolves your problem.

Hey Andrew,

I have verified your steps. Deleted the table from SQL Sync. Added the latest table for Adagio SA 9.3A (Table name is still: S92ATRN)
~
Verified that when I edit a transaction in Adagio SA, the line is deleted/disappears from the SQL Server and I am unable to find it again with the prior query.

I can provide more information as needed and have been working through Stief Group as well.
Thank you,
Jason

OK - sounds like it's working....

SalesAnalysis is updated when the Retrieve function is run (in SalesAnalysis).

Hi Andrew, I think you've misunderstood what Jason is trying to report, this is not working.

He is saying that after following the instructions regarding adjusting the SQL Sync setup, if he edits a detail line's description, it gets deleted instead of updated inside the SQL table.

SQL sync should sync any edits made with the edit data function, no?

I've asked him to clarify if the re-adding of the SA table to the SQL sync setup has had any apparent effect on the retrieval function. Before doing that, the SQL table was not getting the newly processed records from day end.

Hi Warren,

Yes - I misunderstood. Could one of you post the version of \Softrak\System\ADS32.DLL and/or \Softrak\System\x64\ADS64.DLL please?

Thanks

Warren helped me directly with a different softrak contact. I have updated the 32/64 bit ADS.DLLs and the issue appears to be resolved
Thank you!

I had sent an inquiry to support about this before Jason posted, and it was suggested there that we swap in ADS version 3839 (both DLL files), which seems to have restored the sync functionality. Thanks for your help.

I'm not 100% sure about which ADS was in place before(don't have remote access and Jason does his own upgrades), it's likely it was whatever came with either SalesAnalysis 9.3A 2020-01-28 or one of the Sysupdaters as those should be the newest recently installed releases, according to our notes.

Edit Reason: module version correction

Hi, Warren,

If you had just renamed their existing ADS32 and 64 files before putting in 3839, you'd be able to find out. I know things are a little more difficult though these days.

Thanks for doing the swap and for confirming that things are okay at the site now.

As a general rule of thumb I always rename the ADS files prior to adding new ones. This was a normal thing for Warren to suggest. I can provide them to Warren so your team has better insight into what is causing that issue if you would like
Thank you,
Jason
