Customer will be printing OE Shipping Labels, and will need to include a number of Comment Lines on the label.
For example, the might enter:
PO Line # 1 of 4
Return Customer fittings
Do not remove Customer zip-ties
Return Customer pins & plugs

One solution that I would like to consider is to place the 4 or 5 lines on the Order Notes/Optional Fields tab, in the additional comments field.
But the issue is, how do we print this?
There does not appear to be Spec Code field for the Additional Comments.

We can use the Optional text fields, but I am afraid that there are only 3 fields at 30 characters each – we will almost certainly exceed this limit on at least a few Orders.

(We are already using the Comment Line 1 on the header for capturing the Quote #, so this field is not available.)

Any suggestions?

I know this doesn't answer your question, but there is a Quote Number field on the Sales Order header in OrderEntry 9.3x.

However: In CQ Company Profile, the "Copy quote number to" option does not give the option of copying this # to the most obvious field in OE - the Quote No.
Why not?

So this does not really help at this time.

And, I am still wondering about including the Notes on the specs.
If this is not doable currently, can this be added as a request for the next OE update?

Printing Notes on a Shipping Label would not be a good practise. A shipping label only has so much room and the trucking company only wants to see the delivery name and address.

I suggest that you use a Text Block in OE to type up the notes and then put that Text Block on the Order as Instructions. Print the Instructions in Bold font only on the Picking Slip.

When a quote is transferred to OE, the Quote number and Revision code are automatically transferred to those fields on the OE sales order. This is independent of the CQ Company Profile option.

I'm using CQ9.2B and OE9.3A.
