Over the weekend, without any updates or changes to the system. Our styles have started acting up.

In OE 6 of 9 document filters have changed to a plain white style.
In IC All 15 of our item filters have changed to plain white style.
In PO 3 of 7 document filters have changed to plain white style.
In AP 5 of 6 vendor filters have changed to plain white style.
In AR 6 of 7 customer filters have changed to plain white style.

I did not count yesterday but we had the same issues, which we fixed most of then today it all went back. These styles we have been using for months, we didn't do any changes to our system. All adagio instances are running on our Adagio VM server.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Lance:

From your prior post it appears you did an upgrade and then some restore as you were having problems. Perhaps this is causing your problem.

For each module under the Maintenance menu there is a function to "Apply Styles". Try using Shift+Click to select all, select the option to Clear unselected filter styles and then click on Apply.

The styles were fine after the upgrade, but changed a few days later. The problem isn't that the filters are't working they are, it is the style that was set on that filter is now missing.

Applying the styles right now would just keep them all white with black font.

Looking at the filters the style is now blank.

If I had my hands on the data I could likely figure this out quickly. Listing all of the possible things to check would take too much time.

Your Adagio consultant should be able to help you out.

Hello Lance.

Adagio Styles are named and the values are stored in \Softrak\System\AdagioStyles.INI

There is a section for each Style which stores the values of the font colour, background colour and font style.

There is a [Styles] section that enumerates each named Style and provides its ordinal number for the drop down list when you choose a Style. If a Style that was referenced in a Filter is not found in the list, then the Style to apply will probably show as blank.

The easiest way to fix this is likely to just re-assign the Styles to the Filters.

Andrew,

I restored the AdagioStyles.INI file. I have everyone off the system, but Adagio is not pulling the restored Styles file. I compared the to files in a text editor and I can see that we have 170 styles in the restored file and only 117 in the one that I removed.

What can I do to get the system to see the new styles file?

Exit and reload the application.

I tried this with no luck. I will have the Stief Group look into it.

Did you try running a DIC?

Just to clarify the issue:

It seems the ADAGIOSTYLES.INI file was corrupted. Custom style names were removed from the [Styles] numerical list and the attributes for those styles were placed before the [Styles] section, at the top of the file.

Manually restoring the file to its proper structure seems to have brought back the 'missing' styles but not sure how this occurred in the first place. The DIC only reported a discrepancy on a PO Header total.
