SA 9.2A (180519)
We are using Sales Analysis with OE. There is no Inventory module.

We have an Item that (for example) has a Description "Original Name".
We changed the Description to "New Name".

But in SA, the Description remains with the original name, both when we run reports or Online Inquiries.

Why isn't the Item Desc. being updated?
How do we update the Desc?

Hi, Samuel,

Is the 'Use desc. from transaction' option enabled in the SA Company Profile? Have you run the 'Update desc. from OE' function?

"Use desc. from transaction" is active, but...

I forgot about the "Update desc. from OE function".
We are doing that now, but it will take quite awhile since there are years of history.

Running Update desc. from Order Entry did not help.
But running Update Item Description File did the trick.

Great! Which is used is really dependent on whether or not the option in the Company Profile has been enabled or not.
