Hi All,

We are running Sales CQ 8.1C (150226). We are having an issue as follows:

-In the edit quotes window, select a quote in the grid.

-Click Print (by default reprint quotes is selected, specification option is set to use default specification and our specification is set to our Quote spec. Email cover is set to our quote cover.

-Click Email. (by default billing and add to queue is selected)

-Click OK.

A window appears, saying "generating email" and then Adagio Sales CQ has stopped working and then you must click "close program".

I'm not sure if this problem might be related to the Windows 10 Anniversary Update that we installed recently.

Anyone else seeing this problem? Is there a hotfix?

Hi, Susan,

There're no issues here. Just retested myself using Win10 with no problems experienced.

Is it working for other workstations? Other than Win10, what else is different in the Adagio email set up between a w/s not experiencing the problem and the one that is?

Do you have the Windows 10 Anniversary Update installed?

It is the same problem on all workstations. Email set up looks normal and the same email settings work in OE, AR, AP.

I tried reinstalling CQ but that didn't solve the problem.

Update - This morning we rolled back the Windows 10 Anniversary Upgrade on one workstation and Sales CQ Email works normally on that one workstation.

Can you test CQ on Windows 10 Anniversary Update and if you can replicate the problem, can you let me know if it's possible to get a hotfix?

If the item is already in the queue list, then CQ can email successfully. However, if you select email "now" or "add to queue", and click "OK", the program crashes at that point, so you cannot get any new quotes into the queue list.

Hi, Susan,

So far we've been unable to duplicate this issue using Windows 10 Anniversary but we are continuing to look at it.

Two things:

- From the w/s experiencing the problem, are you able to email successfully using the Test button? What exactly happens?

- Again from the w/s experiencing the problem, please either select Help | System Status from the main menu in a module 'or' drill down to the Softrak\System folder on the server and run ChkSys.exe, create an Adagio Snapshot (button in upper left corner of window begins this process) and email it to support@softrak.com.

We are able to send a test from CQ, it seems like the module is crashing out when it tries to write a new entry to the Queue, only workstations without the anniversary update can add to the queue (or send now).

I have uploaded our snapshot via the website.

We have managed to re-create the problem in our office and are investigating whether a fix is possible. The problem only affects e-mailing in modules earlier than 9.2A (SalesCQ and Time&Billing). If you are running those modules, please refrain from upgrading to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition until we have a fix.

Windows 10 Pro users can delay the Upgrade. However, we understand that this is not the default behaviour.

Delay doesn't mean that you have any control over how long the delay is for. Sooner rather than later MS just dumps the update on you, known issue or not - tough luck on you.
