I'm having a problem with the paper size I'm printing to and although it is likely more my printer than Adagio, it causes issues with Adagio financial reporter. My default printer seems to want size A4, (HP1606dn) although I have set the preference to letter. Whenever I open a report in financial reporter the paper size is A4. Is there some way to override this and make it always come up as letter in Adagio? I have gone into the reports, changed them to letter and saved them, but it still comes up A4 when I reopen them. At this time I've adjusted my margins to help deal with this, but when you run Statement group print, you don't get the opportunity to change paper size before printing.

It is possible to save a printer driver onto specific financial statements, so I wonder if a driver setup that has the A4 page size as the default has been saved there? You can check this by opening the statement, then from the File menu, look at the Print Setup. Though from your description, that's exactly what you've tried.

If you print a single financial statement rather than a group, does the A4 size occurs in this instance as well?

Where are you printing statement groups from? When I print either from within the Financial Reporter, or the Reports menu within Ledger? I ask because in both places, I get the screen that lists the printer driver, and I can click Properties there to see a page size setting.

Do you have Windows 10? I've heard of this trying to manage printers for the user - oh how helpful - and perhaps it's attempting to pick the printer for you, and possibly driver settings as well. The setting is 'Let Windows manage my default printer'.

For what it's worth, tech support has the exact same HP1606dn printer attached to our department, and I've been able to print to Letter sized paper from financial statements - it is not looking for A4 sized paper.

HP 2035s like to default to A4 initially too.

If running Windows 10, press the Start button and type Control Panel. Choose the Control Panel desktop app at the top of the search results.

If running Windows 7, press Start, choose Control Panel.

Choose View Devices and Printers. Find your HP 1606 and right click it. Choose Printer Properties from the context menu. Choose the Advanced tab, then click Printing Defaults. The paper size is probably set to A4 here. Choose Letter instead and things should work better.

Thanks for trying, but I have set my printing defaults to Letter, but on the General tab in properties only A4 paper is listed and you can't change that section. I can print usually, but I've adjusted margins because even when it prints on letter it seems to think its A4.

In the print setup of my financial statements it says A4 and though I can change it to letter, when I save it after changing it - it doesn't save that change in the statement - so if I do a Statement Group Print where you can't do a print setup first, it expects A4 paper in the printer.

I almost always use Statement Group Print within Financial Reporter. I'm trying using a different printer in the print setup - one that allows letter size paper, and now it seems to save letter size. Hopefully this will work and I can just select the printer I want when printing.
