Suddenly, we are having a problem in Billings.

When creating a bill the switch from Time to Disbursements (and vice versa) gives this message:

Error 1 occurred when attempting to delete billing temp

I have restored data from backup. I have reinstalled TB. The problem does not go away.

Can anyone help?

Is the data clean?

Run Data Integrity Check, and there are errors, Rebuild (make a backup when it asks). Then repeat until there are no errors.

Checked to be sure it shows clean and it does.

Error 1 often indicates a file problem, such as missing files, mismatched files, or unable to create or delete files.

Since the error message refers to a temporary file, perhaps there was a previous problem and a temporary work file was created and not cleared properly, and now it cannot be recreated. The problem happened 'suddenly', so whatever details you could share about anything that happened previously could be useful.

Maybe some data file has a read-only status or is locked on the server. Not likely the latter if you have restored data and the problem re-occurs.

Any updates or changes to your anti-virus or Windows updates?

If you cannot replicate this error in a different set of data, such as sample data, then there is some issue with the data that the integrity check is not looking for. You'll probably need to get your Adagio consultant involved with this one, especially if your data backup has the same issue.

The original data integrity check showed an error in one project - a mismatch of an A/R balance.
That's why I rebuilt the database.
