When opening BankRec this morning we have a pop up that says "Unable to write to M:\Softrak\BankRec\BANKREC.INI." and another message upon re-opening: "would you like your historical company access list set up?"

Sounds like the program is unable to write to the file it mentions. We have run into this error occasionally in past when an antivirus program was preventing this from occurring. Has the file been quarantined? I know you're now using a different AV program than the one that caused you grief last week. Has it been configured per the information found in those other forum threads to exclude the Softrak folder, etc.? You might want to check with your IT regarding that.
