I'm getting errors in all of my modules since I did the upgrade on Friday. I can't print or preview any reports in any of the modules. All of the errors are similar to the one attached.

Jean:

Installed to a standalone workstation or server?
Operating system?

My guess is that the installation wasn't done correctly in some way or you didn't have the administrative rights required to do the install.

I haven't seen this specific error message before so I can't tell you what is wrong and as no one has responded I suspect I'm not the only one.

As responding to the forum is voluntary, even for Softrak, you will need to be patient. If you need immediate assistance then please feel free to contact us.

Hello Jean.

Everyone here is "heads down" getting ready for the Adagio Opportunity Conference.

While it appeared that everything went normally during the install, Adagio 9.2 uses different printing technology which must be installed as administrator.

Since all your printing is "off the air", I'd recommend getting help from your reseller to figure out what the problem is.

Sorry.

It was installed to a network drive via the server computer so Administrative rights were okay. OS is Windows 7 so that shouldn't be an issue either. Seems to be some issue with the crystal reports because it occurs every time I try to run any type of report. I'll try re-installing all of the modules to see if maybe there was an error in the install...nothing had seemed out of the ordinary though when I did the installs in the first place.

Hi, Jean,

Are you able to print a File | User Preferences, Listing successfully?

We had to revert to the previous versions of all our modules. Anything that tried to access Crystal reporting wouldn't work. We have our tech guy trying to figure it out for us but we couldn't keep the upgraded versions installed.

...so, to answer your question, I'm not sure if that would have worked but I`m guessing it wouldn`t because it uses Crystal.

Hi, Jean,

Without knowing what the error(s) received were after the upgrade, it's almost impossible to help. The errors I'm referring to might be received during the install, or when running the program, or when printing a report. Or, it might be describing the state of the print window when trying to print a report.

Knowing what the exact error received is imperative. In v9.2, knowing whether the User Preferences report prints or not is also imperative. While the report also uses the new Crystal, unlike the other reports, it does not require that a connection to the AdagioODBC runtime also be made.

When you're ready to try again, if you have any problems, please let us know exactly what is occurring as we would be happy to help.

Jean:

The tech guy that you should be using to troubleshoot this problem is your Adagio consultant. We install Adagio every day and have significant experience troubleshooting installs. I'd bet we could resolve this problem way more efficiently than your hardware/network support consultant.
