A client does write-up work for its clients. All of the clients are cash basis so they never have any open payables. They all need to see the check number, not the invoice number, in the expense account.

For now my client accomplishes this by importing all transactions as manual checks/cash invoices, with the company profile setting turned on to send the check number instead of the invoice number to the expense account.

However a few of their clients frequently pay lots of invoices with one check, and they want to be able to show the invoice numbers on the check advice, as well as send the check number to the expense account.

Can anyone think of a creative way to do this? I couldn't.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

You can only do this with cash based accounting.

Perhaps you could create a GridView workspace.
